Build photos Portable Stove: A hole for the stove pipe and a first test burn

+
Drilling some small holes to create a bigger one.
+
I was eager to test it, so I burned some papers and firewood already.
+
Some nice colors on the top plate after the fire.
+
The stainless steel profile underneath the top plate turned some kind of yellow. Very different from the other regular steel.
+
Already shape some roster to go inside the stove for a next burn.
+
I shaped it by hand and with the help of a hammer. It sort of fits, but it gets the job done for now.
+
After considering all kinds of options for connecting the pipe to the stove, I chose a simple and good-looking tube connector made from stainless steel.
+
It's a dirty job.
+
Using my Dremel to cut out the big hole.
+
I powered the Dremel with the help of a Jackery Solar Battery, which was charged by Jackery Solar Panels. I do this eco-friendly to compensate for all the wood I'm going to burn in my stove.
+
Back to some hand work again. Enough electric tools were used already.
+
The tube connector sits securely on top of the hole. I'm a little afraid this hole is too small for proper venting, but I'll see.
